Senior Systems Administrator

TCN is looking for a Senior level Systems Administrator. This is a high level position that requires experience, communication skills, and leadership capabilities. A Senior level System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures which adhere to organizational values and the architectural principles of high availability mission critical systems. The System Administrator will assist project teams with technical issues in the production environment and will also be responsible for testing and rolling-out new solutions. A System Administrator is pro-active, self-driven, self-guided, and very able to identify, solve, and document problems as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Very strong Linux skills
  • Strong networking configuration and management knowledge (preferably but not limited on Cisco hardware)
  • Some programming skills (Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP or other programming languages)
  • Experience in managing and deploying complex application
  • Knowledge of at least one VCS system: git, svn or cvs
  • Virtualization experience (Xen, VMWare or KVM)
  • Willing to learn fast and to be challenged every day

  • Solaris/Open Indiana skill
  • ZFS (on Linux and/or Solaris)
  • Continuos Integration software (Hudson, Jenkins, TeamCity or Bamboo)
  • MongoDB, Cassandra or other NoSQL db admin skills
  • OpenStack and AWS knowledge
  • AMQP servers (e.g. RabbitMQ)
